English as International language or as foreign language especially for Indonesian people is very important to be mastered. However understanding English is very difficult because the words in English are very complex. Therefore the writer here is more interested doing research about noun in English the data taken from The Jakarta Post Newspaper. By doing this research, the researcher intends to know the nouns as references of English used in the Jakarta Post Newspaper, to know the categorization of English nouns used in the Jakarta Post Newspaper and the meanings of nouns as references of English used in the Jakarta Post Newspaper.
