Mental health and well-being of the elderly people is quite important just like any other time in life. However, recognizing mental illness and promoting mental health and well-being of the elderly people in care home needs more commitment as the growing numbers of ageing population is increasing globally. The aim of this thesis was to explore the basic mental health issues in elderly care home, and the purpose is to promote mental health for the elderly people. This thesis is a qualitative researched paper and has used a semi-structured interview in collecting data from five care givers working in elderly care home.
