During the past several years, fuzzy set theory has emerged as one of the most promising approach for uncertainty analysis of a model; in fact, uncertainty in input parameters is characterized with a membership function, which represents the degree to which a parameter belongs to a set value. The paper deals with fuzzy set theory application to two of risk factors involved in landfill hazard assessment according to the USEPA’s HRS method
