Ultrafast pulsed laser deposition is an interesting technique for the synthesis of nanoparticles (NP) and NP-assembled films (NPA). The NPA films show a structure with agglomerates of NPs sticking to one another, with a significant shape and orientation anisotropy and negligible coalescence. In this communication, we report preliminary results concerning the effect of the substrate temperature on the magnetic response of the NPA films in the case of Fe NPs deposited on Si (1 0 0). The experimental data evidence a clear role of the substrate temperature on the hysteresis loop of the deposited NPA films due to the aggregation and oxidation degree of the NPs
