From the mid 14th to the early 16th century the history of the kingdom of Naples was affected by many succession and civil wars between the different branches of Anjou family, dynasties of Anjou and Aragon, France and Spain, until the inclusion of Naples in the spanish Empire. Trafics were dominated by foreign operators, coming from Tuscany or Catalonia.
