The contribution regards a simulation model of the conversion process of an azo-dye (Acid Orange 7) in a Pseudomonas sp. OX1 biofilm reactor under steady state aerobic/anaerobic conditions. The reaction network embodies: phenol conversion under aerobic conditions, oxygen depletion as a consequence of cells uptake – growth and maintenance contributes - dye conversion under anaerobic conditions. The conversion kinetics were assumed in agreement with previous investigations: substrate inhibition kinetics with respect to the phenol consumption; Monod type kinetics with respect to the oxygen; Michaelis-Menten type kinetics as regards dye conversion, provided that anaerobic conditions established.
