Fuzzy relational structures, built with the aid of fuzzy sets and fuzzy relations, constitute a fundamental class of constructs arising in fuzzy set theory. They give rise to fuzzy relation equations. In this paper we will develop the concepts of single and multilevel relational structures. Different logic operations will be discussed in detail. Aspects of the knowledge representation will be studied and illustrated with several schemes of applications
