El derecho humano a la libertad de expresión: Sistemas regionales de protección

The right to freedom of expression represents not only a human right, also a topic that has evolved widely as society has developed, it cannot be referred exclusively to freedom of expression, but also freedom of opinion is immersed, thought, ideology, beliefs, etc. The present work seeks to conceptualize and identify how this right is conceived from the American regional system for the protection of human rights and how it is developed within the European protection system, specifically through the regulations issued, as well as the jurisprudence of its courts, that have created precedents, some contradictory sentences among themselves, however if something is clear and definitive, it is that the right to freedom of expression is a right that continues to develop over time and that continues to encompass new elements that were not previously were made visible.El derecho a la libertad de expresión representa no sólo un derecho humano, sino un estándar que ha evolucionado ampliamente conforme se ha desarrollado la sociedad, no se puede hacer referencia exclusivamente a la libertad de expresión, sino que se ve inmersa además la libertad de opinión, pensamiento, ideología, creencias, religión, etc. El presente trabajo busca conceptualizar e identificar cómo se concibe este derecho desde el sistema regional americano de protección de derechos humanos y cómo se lo desarrolla dentro del sistema europeo de protección, específicamente a través de la normativa emitida, al igual que la jurisprudencia de sus tribunales que han creado precedentes, algunas sentencias contradictorias entre sí, sin embargo si algo es claro y definitivo, es que el derecho a la libertad de expresión es un derecho que sigue desarrollándose con el paso del tiempo y que sigue abarcando nuevos elementos que antes, no fueron visibilizados
