The research deals with a methodological approach for urban management in areas exposed to natural risks where a short period evacuation could be necessary. The test area for this investigation is Agnano, Fuorigrotta, Soccavo and Pianura plain, a subset of Napoli city and a limited area of Pozzuoli municipality exposed to volcanic hazard.For all the VEI scenarios the study area shows medium-high frequency to be hit by PDC, this condition and its geomorphological features gave the reasons to choose this area for a detailed study on the analysis of exposed value (E) in order to delimit different zones homogenous for urbanization type, population density, morphological features and road network distribution.
