BACKGROUND:Systemic sclerosis (SSc) is an autoimmune disease characterized by fibrosis of the skin and visceral organs. The microangiopathy is early detectable in the course of the disease by nailfold videocapillaroscopy (NVC), a non-invasive technique with a high diagnostic value.
