Fat grafting has become one of the most frequently used techniques in plastic and reconstructive surgery. Many studies have focused on optimizing procedures, such as donor site selection, harvesting, processing, and grafting. Representative basic techniques include Coleman’s and “3L3M” techniques. A new technique called compartment-based targeted fat grafting (CTFG) has gradually been established based on anatomical findings of the facial and hand compartments.
