English is one of the most important foreign languages to learn in Indonesia. However, there are at least two kinds of problems that contributed to the difficulties of the ten graders of MAN 1 Bogor in mastering speaking ability. The first are related to cognitive and psychomotoric problems such as lack of vocabulary, pronunciation, a lack of structure and comprehension and a lack of fluencyand the second one is related about mental problems such as feeling fear of making mistakes, feeling shy and hesitated or even lack of confidence that make them not only speak unspontaneously but also unmotivated to improve speaking English.
