The aim of this study was to evaluate job performance in relation to the professional competence of Village extension Agents (VEAs) in Lagos State, Nigeria. Data were collected from One-hundred and twenty-five (125) VEAs across the three zones of the State. The respondents were selected through purposive sampling technique. Structured questionnaire duly validated and pre-tested was used to collect the data. The data were analyzed using frequency counts, percentages and mean while Chi-square was used to test the relationship between variables.
