Analisis Perubahan Kondisi Pasang Surut Laut Menggunakan Model Pasang Surut Global dan Regional: Studi Kasus di Perairan Selatan Jawa

This study aimed to assess the characteristics of tides of locations at 15 km spacing away from tidal station location. The tidal characteristic studied is the amplitude of the main tidal harmonic components O1, K1, M2 and S2. This study used global tidal models FES 2012 and TPXO-Atlas. For the regional scope, this study used local tide model developed by Geospatial Information Agency. The study focused on the south coast/water of Java that includes four tidal stations, namely Prigi, Sadeng, Cilacap and Pangandaran. The amplitude values from these tidal stations are extracted from the three tidal models at every 15 km spacing distance eastward and westward away from tidal station location. The amplitude of the four components of the four main tidal tide station is used as the comparison. The amplitudes at the points are compared to that at the respective tidal station using t test to evaluate whether differences are significant. The research concludes that the amplitude changes in south Java waters are linear. The amplitudes tend to increase eastward. At a distance of 15 to 150 km, the amplitudes of M2 and S2 of global tidal models are statistically similar according to t_test restuls
