National audienceThe dolmen of Prat-Clos (Ria-Sirach) is located in the Conflent region and in the Têt valley, dominated to the south by the Pic du Canigou. The recent excavation of this monument allow us to document a complex tumulus structure, consisting of a mixed facing of alternating equidistant radiating slabs and dry-stone walls. The other particularity of this dolmen is its location on an irregular scalariform bedrock which seems to have served as a quarry. This strategic construction on a stepped rock base also contributes to a hybrid monumentalisation.
