As numbers of patients in hospitals across the country rise, it is causing stress in those specific hospital systems. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the beginning of the unsafe number of patients being assigned to nurses began. Many nurses have 6+ patients and have great responsibility for patients. Hospital systems are incorporating many different interventions to adequately supply their staff and avoid nurse burnout. The purpose of this research study is to 1.) analyze the nationwide shortage of nurses 2.) present the interventions that are given to nurses and lastly 3.) identify current nursing remedies to avoid burnout.
