In the formation of history and social sciences teachers are in a duality between teaching the specific discipline with training and educational intentions, which raises the question of how and why to learn from the past and the implications of this training around citizens. This approach is the base of the project “formation of historical consciousness from the study of regional history” that used a Grounded Theory methodology look to find the relationships in the meanings for teachers and students have on historical consciousness and implications in teacher education.
