Report of the Workshop on Baltic Cod Age Reading

At the 81th ICES Statutory Meeting it was resolved (C.Res 1993/2:40) that "A Workshop on Baltic Cod Age Reading" would be held in Gdynia, Poland, from 6-10 June 1994 under the chairmanship of Dr.J.Netzel (Poland) to: a) describe protocols for age determination using photographs and for diagrams to illustrate agereading criteria; b) conduct comparative age readings on thin sections of cod otoliths in order to reach common interpretation;e) eonduct eomparative age readings on otoliths prepared the standard (broken); d) evaluate the results taking into account methods recommended by the workshop, on Sampling Strategies for Age and Maturity Data.Description not yet available
