CoCoA-5 is a portable, high-quality computer algebra system specializing in Computational Commutative Algebra (ideals and systems of multivariate polynomials). The software is open source in C++ software released under the GPL licence; it is built upon the open source C++ library CoCoALib. The design and development of this software requires a solid knowledge of both basic and advanced commutative algebra together with software project management skills (including integrating code contributions from external groups)
