This paper deals with the urban solid wastes management and it compares the thermovalorization process with the anaerobic digestion one; the study has been carried out for three different areas: the commune of Savona, the Province of Savona, the Provinces of Savona and Imperia together. In order to select the best technology for each scenario, the two waste disposal processes have been compared by means of some indexes which have been calculated in accordance with the \u201cWaste Management Plan\u201d of Liguria Region
