This paper is the continuation of a previous work [1] in which a general procedure is formulated for the drawing of territorial aeolic maps. The procedure is applied in this paper for the drawing of a preliminary map of Italian extreme winds, point of departure for the later determination of the final aeolic map. In the light of the research attained are stressed the ripercussions on standards and design implications which this research may involve in the national engineering sector
