In this paper, a calculating model of Milimeter-Wave (MMW) Radio-over-Fiber WDM Fiber Optic Communication System (WDM MMW/RoF) using EDFA preamplifier and Coherence receiver is proposed. We then investigate dominant noises including Amplified Spontaneous Emission (ASE) noise from EDFA, Four Wave Mixing (FWM) noise created by the WDM and receiver's noise to determine the SNR, BER of this system. After that, we write MatLab-based program and make it run to draw graphs that show system performance, such as BER, SNR versus number of optical channels, transmitter's power, EDFA's Gain, oscillator power of Coherence receiver, bit rate of each channel.
