Gambaran Pengetahuan Dan Sikap Lansia Tentang Hipertensi Di Puskesmas Karanganyar

Background: hypertension is a non-communicable disease which is often defined as an abnormal increase in blood pressure. The prevalence of hypertension is expected to continue to increase every year. Hypertension can be controlled if we have sufficient knowledge about what hypertension is and how to prevent it and how our attitudes are in dealing with hypertension. Objective: to describe the level of knowledge and attitudes of hypertension patients at Karanganyar Health Center. Methods: This type of research is a quantitative research with a descriptive design with a survey approach. The study was conducted at the Karanganyar Health Center in October-November 2021. The subjects of this study were 79 elderly people with hypertension. The sampling technique used was accidental sampling. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. The data analysis method used univariate analysis. Results: Characteristics of respondents based on age, the majority of respondents aged 50-59 years were 55 (69.6%) with an average age of respondents 57.67 years, the majority were male as much as 44 (55.7%) ), with the majority of junior high school education as much as 34 (43%). Those who do not work are 16 (20.3%), private sector as many as 18 (22.8%) and farmers as many as 19 (24.1%). The majority of respondents had suffered from 1-3 years as many as 45 (57%), the majority got information about hypertension from health services as much as 64 (81%). The results of the analysis show that the majority of respondents have sufficient knowledge of 66 (83.5%) and the majority of respondents have sufficient attitudes towards hypertension as many as 46 (58.2%).
