As one of the most catastrophic natural disasters worldwide, earthquakes and their effect on structures are very important to structural health monitoring (SHM), particularly for the ones living around the Pacific ring of fire. In this regard, SHM techniques with real-time or online processing can be used to identify states of structures, track modal parameters, provide a warning message about damage, and help post-earthquake reconnaissance and rehabilitation.
