The relationship between neighborhood food environment and childhood obesity is complex and not yet well defined by current research in China, especially when considering the integrated effects with other relative factors. The main purpose of this article is to introduce a framework of children’s weight status, based on their neighborhood food environment, and to identify the impact of food environment on the children’s BMI and potential pathways.
