The parallel plate geometry has been considered to analytically solve the advection – dispersion equation in a porous medium. The solution proposed was obtained by the application of Cosine Fourier Series for the transversal domain, by the application of the Laplace Transform in regard to the temporal dimension and the introduction of a Theta Function and takes into account the boundaries of the experimental apparatus
