Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) vaccines have been used worldwide to control the coronavirus disease pandemic. However, several adverse effects have been reported following vaccination. Therefore, further research on the adverse effects in individuals predisposed to life-threatening conditions is needed. Herein, we present a 39-year-old woman without any systemic disease who developed fulminant type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) (low glycohemoglobin levels, despite hyperglycemia and diabetic ketoacidosis (DKA)) following SARS-CoV-2 vaccination.
