The use of textile-based medical devices is very common for the treatment of various types of pathologies such as joint disorders or venous insufficiency. Generally speaking, the mode of action of these treatments lies in the application of mechanical stress to the surface of the limb to be treated. The physiological functioning of the body is then modified in order to adapt to the new balance imposed by the device. However, even when properly dosed, compression treatment is often uncomfortable for patients. This often results in patients discontinuing treatment because of skin intolerance or pressure intolerance under or near the device. It is reasonable to assume that these skin irritations are related to the mechanical condition imposed ...
