This dissertation aims to understand how resilience issues are being integrated into the design of public spaces, through a paradigm shift in rainwater management. It comes shortly after the publication of the 6th IPCC report which highlights an unpredictable future within which cities, first affected by climate change, will have to adapt.We suggest to address this paradigm shift through three hypotheses: new technical devices for rainwater management change the landscape of public spaces; these devices should be socially accepted to be sustainable; rainwater issues influence the governance of urban projects.These hypotheses are being investigated through the study of the Saint-Vincent-de-Paul eco-district, which is used as an example in se...
