International audienceAldène is an important karstic system located in Southern France. This karstic cavity preserves an important an rich archaeological and cultural heritage covering a wide time span from the Early Palaeolithic up to modern times and industrial era. Aldène is also known for its Late Paleolithic‐Mesolithic human occupation up to the deepest part of the cavity. This cave is also an important paleontological site, where the presence of the cave hyena (Crocuta crocuta spelaea) is remarkable.
