Del capital urbano al capital humano: vacío arquitectónico y espacio público como catalizadores de acción

This article aims to investigate those artistic experiences that decline from architecture and artistic action. Both disciplines collaborate with each other to create shared spaces: architecture in its most diachronic dimension opens its spaces to the artistic action in its most participatory expression. We will analyze different experiences in which the hybridization between these two arts becomes more effective and bear fruits. We will see how the empty spaces of the cities open up to the common good; the ghosts of an industrialization that reaches its last stage and provides fertile ground for the development of new artistic solutions. With this in mind, we will talk about Macao, a 2012 socio-cultural experiment and about Base1 with ‘Casa di Tutti’ in Milan. We will also highlight some works and installations of the Artikistas collective, a heterogeneous group born from the collaboration between artists and architects in the city of Bilbao. The examples will serve as a reference to explain the ways in which the two disciplines approach problems such as: the urban void resulting from the abandonment of buildings and the increasing disappearance of public space and the common good in favour of a growing interest in the privatisation of places, neighbourhoods and even entire cities; Este artículo tiene como objetivo investigar aquellas experiencias artísticas que se declinan a partir de la arquitectura y de la acción artística. Ambas disciplinas colaboran entre sí para crear espacios compartidos: la arquitectura en su dimensión más diacrónica abre sus espacios para el acto artístico en su expresión más participativa. Analizaremos diferentes experiencias en las que la hibridación entre estas dos artes se hace más efectiva y crea sus frutos. Veremos cómo los espacios vacíos de las ciudades se abren al bien común; los fantasmas de una industrialización que llega a su última etapa proporcionan terreno fértil para el desarrollo de nuevas soluciones artísticas. A tal fin, hablaremos de Macao, experimento socio-cultural de 2012 y de Base1 con la ‘Casa di Tutti’ ambos llevados a cabo en Milán. Destacan así mismo, algunas obras e instalaciones del colectivo Artikistas, grupo heterogéneo nacido en 2015 de la colaboración entre artistas y arquitectos en la ciudad de Bilbao. Los ejemplos servirán de referencia para explicar las formas de acercamiento de las dos disciplinas a problemas como: el vacío urbano resultado del abandono de edificios y la progresiva desaparición del espacio público y del bien común en favor de un interés creciente por la privatización de lugares, barrios e incluso ciudades enteras
