235 p.En mi tesis, he combinado conceptos sobre catálisis junto con las destacadas propiedades fotofísicas yfotoquímicas de las flavinas para abordar las limitaciones de la fotoquimioterapia con metales. Estaslimitaciones están asociadas con las pobres propiedades de absorción de los complejos metálicos,especialmentelos compuestos de PtIV. Los complejos metálicos son típicamente considerados comocatalizadores, los cuales convierten sustratos en compuestos más valiosos, mientras que aquí, empleo demanera poco convencional las flavinas como fotocatalizadores para activar profármacos con metalesque actúan como sustratos.
