DISTRIBUTION: Senegal to Ethiopia and Somalia, south to South Africa and Namibia; Bioko; Zanzibar. SYNONYMS: angolensis, axillaris, dobsoni, lobatus. COMMENTS: Includes angolensis, dobsoni, and guineensis, but not brockmani according to Hayman and Hill (1971) and Koopman (1975:388); but see Böhme and Hutterer (1979:306-307) who correctly treated guineensis as a separate species.Published as part of Karl F.
