Measurements are reported of surface plasmon energy and dispersion carried out by electron energy loss spectroscopy on Ag (110) along both high-symmetry crystallographic directions. For small q(parallel-to) the data show a linear and positive dispersion with a strong azimuthal dependence that is twice as large along the [001] direction as along [110BAR]
