The paper gathers and analyses the results of many experimental tests performed on real structures excited by the wind. The comparison between experimental values of the along wind response and the values calculated by using the measured parameters testifies and quantifies the reliability of the calculation model, once the parameters are known.The repeated calculation by using the estimates values of frequency and damping rather than measured ones often gives rise to relevant errors. The increase in the errors provides an estimate of the uncertainty propagation of the model parameters over the structural response
