Lo scopo di questo lavoro è lo studio degli effetti dei terremoti nell’Area Archeologica Centrale di Roma comprendente Colle Palatino, Colosseo, Fori Romani e Circo Massimo, con particolare riferimento agli eventi sismici di origine appenninica. Gli scenari di danno verificatesi in epoca storica sono confrontati con i risultati di una modellazione numerica tridimensionale della risposta sismica dell’area, con lo scopo di evidenziare il ruolo dell’amplificazione del moto sismico dovuta alle condizioni geologiche e geotecniche locali.The aim of the paper is to study the earthquakeinduced effects of past earthquakes in the Central Archaeological Area of Rome including Palatine hill, Coliseum, Roman Forum and Circus Maximus.
