The restoration of the roof of the Nativity Church in Bethlehem

The interventions of restoration of the roof of the Nativity Church started in September 2013 on the basis of results of diagnostic analyses, guidelines and recommendations provided in 2011 by an International team of Researchers and experts coordinated by Prof. C. Alessandri. He is presently the general Coordinator of Archaeologists, Engineers, Historians and Restorers appointed by the Palestinian National Authority for the actual interventions on the roof and Responsible for the Resarch Project aimed at defining some optimization criteria for the choice of the most appropriate materials and techniques of consolidation, the most suitable work management, the best use of the available human resorces
