Bio-Oss® a deproteinized anorganic bovine bone is widely used as scaffold for autologous cells in several bone regeneration procedures. To study how Bio-Oss® can induce osteoblast differentiation in mesenchymal stem cells, the expression levels of bone related genes and mesenchymal stem cells marker were analyzed, using real time Reverse Transcription-Polymerase Chain Reaction. Bio-Oss® caused an induction of osteoblast related genes ALPL, FOSL1 and SPP1. The obtained results can be relevant to better understand the molecular mechanism by wich Bio-Oss® induce osteoblast differentiation and bone regeneration
