We present experimental and theoretical Brillouin Light Scattering investigation of collective spin wave excitations in dense chains of Permalloy interacting magnetic dots, which can be considered as one dimensional magnonic crystals. The calculations have been performed within the dynamical matrix method, with a Bloch type form of the dynamic magnetization. It is found that a few modes present an appreciable dispersion versus the surface wavevector. -- Presentazione poster by R. Zivieri - Conferenza internazional
