It is well known that the solution of the forced vibration of a N-DOF dynamical problem is very cumbersome when conditions which allow the equation uncoupling do not exist. In the literature several techniques were proposed to overcome the problem, but they were mainly focused on a particular problem in turn. So, we deemed useful to search for a unifying procedure able to deal with different sources of non-linear behavior introducing only minor changes in the operation flow.
