The reliability of Electrochemical Impedance Spectroscopy (EIS) technique in evaluating Armco iron corrosion rates in acid solutions inhibited by quaternary ammonium compounds is discussed. A mathematica elaboration of EIS data is used to obtain the parameters of the equivalent circuit related to the precess of iron corrosion in the quoted media. A better fitting between experimental and simulated impedance spectra is obtained if distributed time constants are used
