In this paper we describe the running of a Kanban FMS, consisted of N cells in a tandem configuration. The system is supplied with a stream of raw parts which arrive to the input queue from an external source. A second external source sends a flow of demands for finished products to the system according to an homogeneous function of time. We estimates the parameters that characterize the performances of the system using simulation techniques in order to estabilish the size of some internal areas of the production line. The analysed system represents an important industrial production line.
