ПОНЯТТЯ «ПОТЕНЦІАЛ» ЯК ПРЕДМЕТ НАУКОВИХ ДОСЛІДЖЕНЬ

The article analyses the views of scientists (philosophers, teachers, psychologists) on the formation of potential (vital, creative, professional) and its interpretations. The meaning of the term "potential" is analysed, namely its origin, the first designation in the developments in physics, modern interpretation and significance. The system characteristic of personality are given, which allows to create, to find new things, make decisions and act originally and non-typically in various situations. It is noted that one of the main directions of reforming the higher pedagogical education is to create conditions for a conscious, continuous personal and professional growth of the students. It is possible in the process of professional formation of sustainable spiritual, moral, and cognitive needs of the individual, improving their creative potential, expanding the range of ways of personal and active self-realization. The problem of updating and replenishment of reserves of vital creative sphere of future teacher is of particular importance as one of the most important components of personal potential, provided by the conditions of higher pedagogical education. The state expects further improvement of teacher's work from those who are associated with educational activities, the creation of conditions for maximum individualization of the learning process
