Adsorption or krilium has been found to lie in the following order when pure clay minerals are used: monknorillonite (Kashmir bentonite) > vermiculite (Mysore) > ettapulgite (Georgia) > biotite (Rajasthan) > haolinite (Bihar)> pyrophyllite (Jhansi). The adsorption by hydrogen end calcium derivatives of the clays also follow the same order. Calcium derivatives have the maximum adsorptive capacity; the minerals come next and the hydrogen derivatives exhibit the least adsorptive capacity
