Anthrax quadricincta Rondani, 1863 ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1863: 61. TYPE LOCALITY: “ Chiliae [Chile]”. TYPE MATERIAL: 1 ♀, holotype (missing right wing) (MZUN: Box Antracidei A03,01): Anthrax 4- cincta Phil., Chili [= Chile] / M. Zool. N° 11140. CURRENT STATUS: valid species, as Villa quadricincta (Evenhuis & Greathead 1999: 508, 2015: 529). REMARKS: Rondani (1863: 61) described Anthrax quadricincta, without specifying either the number or the sex of the specimens, but giving a single measurement of length, from material received from R.A. Philippi, to whom he attributed the species name. Costa (1866: 37) listed a single MZUN specimen (as Anthrax 4- cincta Phil.) numbered “839”.
