Meigenia clausina Rondani, 1865 ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION: 1865c: 208. TYPE LOCALITY: “ in Agro Parmensi [Parmese territory (Italy)]”. TYPE MATERIAL: 2 ♂♂, syntypes (one with thorax partially eaten by dermestids, missing left fore-leg, the other covered with mold, missing abdomen) (MZUF: Box 12): Spylosia Rnd. Meigenia D. / clausina Rnd. / 574. CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Meigenia mutabilis (Fallén, 1810) (Herting & Dely-Draskovits 1993: 146). REMARKS: Rondani (1865c: 208) described Meigenia clausina from just the male sex, without specifying either the number or the length of the specimens.
