TYPE MATERIAL: 2 ♀♀, syntypes (one missing fore-legs) (MZUF: Box 4): Spazigaster Rnd. / apennini Rnd., Apenn. [= Apennines] / 163. CURRENT STATUS: junior synonym of Spazigaster ambulans (Fabricius, 1798) (Peck 1988: 77, Belcari et al. 1995a: 10).
