Eumerus nivipes Rondani 1850

[Eumerus nivipes] Rondani, 1850a: 122. REMARKS: name that Rondani (1850a: 122) proposed as a synonym of Eumerus exilipes Rondani, 1850 and was not made available by use as a valid species before 1961. Bezzi & Stein (1907) and Peck (1988) did not include Eumerus nivipes in the catalog of Palaearctic Diptera; Kertész (1910: 314) treated Eumerus nivipes as junior synonym of Eumerus argyropus Loew, 1848. Morge (1959b: 88) listed this nominal species among the Rondani types in the MZUB but, because a list or index of names cannot be used to determine validity, O’Hara et. al.
