121. Ixodes laridis Heath and Palma, 2017. An Australasian species whose adults have mostly been collected from Charadriiformes: Laridae, while most larvae and nymphs have been found on Laridae and on Suliformes: Sulidae. All parasitic stages have been recovered from Charadriiformes: Laridae, Pelecaniformes: Threskiornithidae, Procellariiformes: Diomedeidae, and Suliformes: Phalacrocoracidae and Sulidae; adults and nymphs have been collected from Strigiformes: Tytonidae; nymphs alone have been taken from Procellariiformes: Procellariidae (Heath & Palma 2017). There are no records of Ixodes laridis causing human parasitism.
