The paper discusses a fragment of a specific type of Arabic amulet produced as woodcuts. Comparing the fragment with an intact exemplar presently owned by the Aga Khan Museum in Toronto, it is possible to observe that both might bear the same text. The technology of woodcut amulets and their relations to the Far East is also examined
